1. Pixel pitch: start from viewing distance
Pixel pitch is the gap between LED centres in millimetres. The closer people stand, the smaller the pitch needs to be. A smaller pitch also means more LEDs per square metre, which raises cost and lowers transparency.
2. Brightness: match it to the sun
Glass reflects light, and a south- or west-facing window can be very bright in the afternoon. Our P3.9 reaches 4,000 nits and the P6.25 4,500 nits, both adjustable so the screen is comfortable at night. Direct sun varies a lot from site to site, so send the window direction and a photo: we assess the brightness for each project rather than promise one figure for every window.
3. Installation: adhered, hung or fixed?
Many buyers search for "LED film" or "adhesive film" because they want something that sticks to the glass. The MDS Mesh PCB Transparent LED Display does exactly that, and keeps over 80% transparency at 3 kg/m².
- Adhered: adhesive sprayed on the back, stuck directly to the inside of the glass.
- Hung: suspended from a top rail behind the glass.
- Fixed: mounted on a frame or structure.
It is cut to your exact glass size at our factory before shipping.
4. Refresh rate: check how it looks on camera
Customers will film your window on their phones. A refresh rate of 3,840 Hz or more avoids flicker lines in photos and video.
5. Installation and weight
Measure the glass and check what is behind it. At 3 kg/m² the display can be adhered straight onto clean glass; for hanging, plan a top rail. Ask your supplier for a layout drawing before ordering.
6. Content and control
Ask how you will update content. Cloud control over WiFi or 4G lets a chain of stores change all windows from one account. Ask whether the supplier helps with content: we provide free template design.
7. What affects the price
- Pixel pitch (smaller pitch costs more per m²)
- Total area and shape (curves and double-sided cost more)
- Brightness level and indoor or outdoor use
- Control system and installation method
- Shipping destination: our quotations exclude freight and import duties (DDP is calculated separately)
8. Checklist before you order
